What you type?None of our business.
Counts, never characters.
Your recap is built from tallies: keys, words, deletes, the hour, the app. Never the text itself.
It stays on your Mac.
No account, no analytics in the app. Your stats live in one file on your Mac. The only thing Keypop fetches is its own updates.
Passwords stay secret.

Questions?
What does Keypop do, exactly?
Every time you type, Keypop plays a little effect right at your text cursor: sparkles, fire, confetti, hearts, thunder, emoji and more. It lives in the menu bar and works in every app on your Mac.
Which words get an emoji?
With the Emoji effect, finishing a word pops its emoji out right above it: pizza π, coffee β, rocket π. Two-word names work too (ice cream π¦), and so does slang like lol or omg. Keypop knows thousands of words in 109 languages and uses the ones your Mac is set up for.
Which apps does it work in?
Anywhere you type: Mail, Messages, Notes, Slack, your browser, code editors and terminals. Keypop finds the cursor through Accessibility; in a few apps like VS Code and terminals, the optional Screen Recording permission makes it more precise. You can switch it off for any app.
Will it get in my way?
No. Effects are drawn on a see-through layer that never takes a click or a keystroke, and Keypop never changes what you type. Pick Subtle for a quiet day, or pause it from the menu bar in one click.
What about Reduce Motion?
Keypop follows it: with Reduce Motion on, effects are fewer, smaller and slower, with no shockwaves. Want the full show anyway? Thereβs a switch for that in Settings.
Does Keypop see what I type?
It reacts to keys as you press them, but never stores or sends what you type. The recap is built from counts only (keys, words, deletes, the hour, the app), kept in a file on your Mac. No account, no analytics in the app.
What is the typing recap?
A comic-book card of your day, week or month: total pops, speed, best combo, busiest hour, favourite apps, and a typing persona like βThe Midnight Machine Gunβ. Copy it, save it or share it straight to your Stories.
How much is it?
β¬4.99, paid once, for up to 3 Macs. Try it free for 7 days first; if itβs not for you within 14 days of buying, you get your money back.
Which Macs does it run on?
Any Mac running macOS 14 or later.
