Where are the words?
You want to sing along. The lyrics are out there, just never where you’re looking.
A lyrics site.
Past the cookie banner and the ads, find the verse. The song is already on the next one.
The video’s description.
Somebody pasted the lyrics under the video. You scroll, you squint, you lose your place.
Spotify or Music’s lyrics.
In time, at last, but only while that big window stays open, in front of what you were doing.
Or just look up.
Peekabop finds the words and sings them right under the camera, in time, word by word. Nothing to keep open, nothing to scroll.
Four ways to sing along.
A pane of glass that floats over everything. Drag it anywhere, lock it so clicks pass through, or drop it on the notch to dock.

It finds the beat in music videos.
Music videos start late, add an intro, change the edit. Peekabop listens to what’s playing, recognises a few words, and lets them vote on how far the lyrics are off.

Questions, answered
Which Macs does it run on?
Any Mac on macOS 15 or later. Matching lyrics to music videos uses Apple’s new on-device speech recognition, so that part needs macOS 26. The notch display works best on a MacBook with a notch; elsewhere the island sits at the top centre of the screen.
Which players does it work with?
Spotify and Apple Music, and anything playing in a browser: YouTube and other video or music sites in Safari, Chrome, Arc, Firefox and friends. If macOS knows what’s playing, Peekabop can usually find the words.
Where do the lyrics come from?
From lrc.red and LRCLIB, matched by title, artist, album and length. Many songs are timed word by word; for the rest Peekabop estimates each word from the line’s timing.
What if a song has no lyrics?
Peekabop shows a little ♪ and stays out of the way. Instrumentals get the same.
How many Macs can I use it on?
Your license works on 3 Macs at once. Moving to a new Mac? Deactivate the old one from the License window and activate the new one.
Can I get a refund?
Yes. If Peekabop isn’t for you, write to hello@chewingcode.com within 14 days of buying and you’ll get your money back, no questions asked. The 7-day trial is the best way to be sure first.
How do I get help?
Email hello@chewingcode.com. A real person (the one who made it) answers, usually within a day or two.
Does it listen to my microphone?
No. Video matching listens to the audio your Mac is playing, through a system audio tap you grant once, and only to line the lyrics up. It never touches the microphone, and audio never leaves your Mac.
